It's been some time since I last wrote a blog post. I recently started a new job where I've had the fortunate opportunity to actively pursue photography in everything I do. Although work has been time consuming, I've also had the opportunity to work with some incredible individuals in St. Louis. On Saturday, I worked with Jeremy Stanton of Barrel Beard and Tattoo, a company known for incredible beard and tattoo oils, not to mentioned beautiful packaging.
Jeremy and I met in downtown St. Louis with light plans for our shoot. Equipped with my A7, two lenses (85 f1.4 and 24-70 f4), and a speedlight, we got to work creating some minimalist portraits.
The location was completely new to me and I didn't spend any time reviewing it before meeting up. This was unusual for me, but it also inspired me to explore more and find spaces that spoke to the images we wanted to create. We worked through three different locations, all within walking distance of one another.
Speaking of the images - I wanted to create a portfolio of images with the attention drawn to Jeremy. His beard, tattoos, and general style were perfect for the location and I think the images came out great. Check them out below and don't forget to give Jeremy a follow on Instagram at @barrelbeardandtattoo.
