There are few communities as supportive as the art community. Artists seem to band together in a common belief that personal expression is fundamental to success, no matter how you gauge what success looks like. When I started in photography, I often wondered when I’d be able to say I have a personal style, and what that would look like. I wondered when the art community would feel like my community, and how my work would be interpreted. And although I still struggle to call myself an artist, having the opportunity to be interviewed by Dumb Dope definitely helped me feel closer to a successful artist. Check out my interview over on Dumb Dope’s blog and don’t forgot to check out their store for merchandise that will make you stand out from the crowd.
